No — printed supportless Supports Required

Eight original keyring designs inspired by real engineering components — pistons, gears, wrenches, turbines, and a V6 engine block. Designed for makers, mechanics, and anyone who likes their everyday carry to look like it came off a workbench. All eight files print clean and support-free on any standard FDM printer.

What's Included

You get a single 3MF file containing all eight keyring designs, arranged and ready to slice. Other formats available on request.

Tri-Gear Spine — three interlocking gears on a central spine.

Piston Ring — single piston and connecting rod with the wrist pin loop forming the keyring.

Wrench Loop — open-ended 10mm spanner with the ring forming the keyring loop.

Turbo Coil — dual-layer turbine impeller, stacked for depth.

Split-Clamp Coupler — split-collar clamp design, the kind you'd see on a driveshaft.

Mechanical Latch — articulated hook-and-loop latch.

Twin-Piston (V-Twin Edition) — two pistons on a shared crank, V-twin layout.

Twin V6 Engine Block — miniature V6 block with cylinder bores and exhaust ports.

The 3MF includes tested print profiles so you can drop it straight into Bambu Studio or Orca Slicer and print without faffing with settings. Print all eight at once or pick individual designs to slice — your call.

How to Print

Download the 3MF, import into your slicer, and either print the full plate or hide the designs you don't want for this run. PLA, PLA+ and PETG all work well — PETG is the better pick if the keyring is going to live in a pocket or on a busy keyring loop, since it handles knocks and UV better than standard PLA. Print flat on the build plate. No supports needed on any of the eight designs. Once printed, thread on a split ring or lanyard clip and you're done.

A note on finish

These are FDM prints, so visible layer lines are part of the look — they actually suit the industrial aesthetic, especially in matte black or dark grey filament. If you want a smoother finish, sand lightly with 400-grit and seal with matte clear coat. They also take acrylic paint well if you want to pick out details (gear teeth, piston rings, exhaust ports) in a contrast colour.

Licence

Personal use only. Print as many as you like for yourself, friends, and family. Resale of printed items, redistribution of files, and modification for resale are not permitted. Need to sell prints made from these files? Get in touch about a commercial licence.
