The Mythical Solarian Edge is a sun-forged ceremonial blade designed as a print-ready 3MF file for cosplay, display, and tabletop builds. The blade is a long, tapered straight cut with a raised central spine, flowing into a sculpted flame-burst guard that fans out either side of the grip. The handle is wrapped with a spiral binding pattern, and the pommel finishes in a circular gemstone setting with a tapered drop point.

About the Design

The blade is sculpted as a single straight tapered profile with a defined central ridge running the full length, giving it a clean silhouette from any angle. The guard splits into mirrored flame tendrils — sharp, radiating shapes inspired by sunbursts — with a sculpted relief panel where the blade meets the hilt. The grip carries a continuous spiral wrap, and the pommel is built around a circular gem mount, finishing in a small spiked drop. Detail sits in the silhouette and the sculpted hilt — the blade faces are clean, ready to take whatever finish you want.

Print Details

The file is supplied as a 3MF format. The sword is scalable without losing detail, so you can size it to suit your printer bed and your build. No supports needed, prints cleanly with standard FDM settings on Bambu Lab, Prusa, Creality, Anycubic, and similar machines.

What You Get

A 3MF file (other formats available on request). Files are delivered instantly after purchase via a secure download link.

Customisation Ideas

The model is designed to take finishing well. A few directions that work with this blade:

Paint the blade with a translucent amber or orange wash over a white or gold base for the glowing sun-blade look shown in the concept art. Brush metallic gold or aged brass into the guard recesses and wipe back for a cast-bronze finish. Wrap the grip in real leather cord or paracord over the printed spiral for a tactile handle. Drop a real cabochon, glass gem, or LED into the pommel mount for a lit-up finish. Sand the blade faces smooth before painting if you want a glass-like surface.

These are suggestions, not part of the file — you get the printable model, the customisation is yours.

Honest Notes

This is a digital file, not a physical item. Printed results will show layer lines on the blade faces and the curves of the guard — these are part of FDM printing, and sand or fill smooth before painting if you want a clean finish. The bronze-gold version shown in the listing images is the straight-off-the-printer result in a metallic PLA — the glowing amber blade is a concept render showing what's achievable with paint and finishing. The sword is a display and cosplay prop, not functional. Print orientation affects surface quality on the blade faces and guard tendrils, so test at small scale first if you're new to large prop prints.

Licence

Personal use only. Print as many copies as you like for yourself, gifts, or display. Resale of prints, the file itself, or any modified version is not permitted under this licence.
