Single stem or small cluster Stem Capacity

This is a simple idea done well. A slim, teardrop-shaped bud vase with a dramatic vertical split that reveals two contrasting colours — warm beige on one side, deep galaxy green on the other. It's the kind of piece that catches your eye without trying too hard.

Designed to hold a single dried stem, a sprig of eucalyptus, or a bit of pampas grass, it works equally well on a windowsill, a bookshelf, or a mantlepiece. No fuss. Just a nice-looking object that earns its space.

Why Two Colours?

Most 3D printed decorative pieces play it safe with a single colour. This one doesn't. The split profile is printed in two separate halves using different filaments — one matte beige, one matte galaxy green — then joined to create that clean contrasting seam down the face.

The result is something that looks like it came from a ceramics studio, not a printer. The matte finish helps with that — no shiny plastic look, just a smooth, slightly tactile surface that photographs well and sits nicely alongside natural materials like wood, linen, and stone.

What to Put In It

It's a bud vase, so it's designed for a single stem or a small, tight cluster. Works well with:

  • Dried pampas grass or bunny tail stems
  • Artificial or dried eucalyptus
  • A single dried flower (billy buttons, lavender, etc.)
  • A slim faux stem for a low-maintenance display

Not suitable for fresh-cut flowers in water — it's decorative, not waterproof. If you want to use fresh stems, pop a small test tube or florist's water tube inside first.

What You're Getting

One 3D printed bud vase, printed to order here in the UK. The two-tone effect is achieved in the print itself — this isn't painted or dip-dyed. You'll see the layer lines up close if you look for them; that's just the nature of FDM printing. From a normal viewing distance they're barely visible on a matte surface like this.

If you'd like a different colour combination, drop us a message — we can discuss what's possible with our current filament stock.
