About the Design

The blade is sculpted as a single elongated leaf with a raised central ridge running tip to base and a clean tapered edge profile. The guard splits into curling tendrils that wrap around the base of the blade, and the hilt is built from intertwined vines running down to a pointed root pommel. Detail sits in the silhouette and the sculpted hilt — the blade face itself is smooth, ready to take whatever finish you want.

Print Details

The file is supplied as a clean, watertight, manifold 3MF. The sword is scalable without losing detail, so you can size it to suit your printer bed and your build. A split version is included with alignment pins for printers that can't take the full length in one piece. Supports are only needed under the guard area — the blade and hilt print cleanly with standard FDM settings on Bambu Lab, Prusa, Creality, Anycubic, and similar machines.

Painting and Finishing

The smooth blade face is a blank canvas. Hand-paint or airbrush red veins radiating from the central ridge for the classic nature-magic look, or go a different direction entirely — silver steel, weathered bronze, glowing turquoise, frosted white. The sculpted hilt and tendril guard take dry-brushing and washes well, picking out the twisted vine detail. Metallic golds, aged bronzes, and natural wood tones all suit the design. A satin or gloss varnish seals the finish.

This is a digital file, not a physical item. Printed results will show layer lines on curved surfaces — these are part of FDM printing and sand or fill smooth before painting if you want a clean finish. Print orientation and support placement affect surface quality on the leaf face, so test at small scale first if you're new to large prop prints.
