Straight, consistent labels with your container standing upright

The Vertical Label Helper is a manual label applicator designed to help candle makers and small-batch businesses position labels neatly on round jars, bottles and tins.

Suitable for cylindrical containers with a bottom diameter of 55–85 mm, it combines a gear-adjusted label guide with a sliding rear support. Your container stays upright while you line up the label, giving you a repeatable starting point for consistent placement across your batch.

Turn the front gear to set your label height, adjust the support to fit your container, and you’re ready to start.

How it helps with your labelling

  • Upright labelling – your container stands on its base while you position the label.
  • Adjustable label height – turn the front gear to raise or lower the guide.
  • Support for different container sizes – the curved rear support slides into position and locks with a thumb screw.
  • Consistent batch positioning – keep the same settings for matching containers.
  • Less repeated measuring – set your preferred position before starting your batch.
  • Works with round labels as well as labels with a straight bottom edge.
  • No hand orientation to choose – the same tool can be used by right- and left-handed makers.

Quick Fit Check – Please Read Before Ordering!

The Vertical Label Helper is designed for round, cylindrical containers.

  • Recommended diameter: 55–85 mm.
  • Containers below 55 mm: smaller containers may sit on the base, but the curved rear support cannot secure them, they can move during application.
  • Label shapes: suitable for rectangular, square and round labels. Rest the bottom edge—or the lowest point of a round label—on the guide, and check the artwork is level before attaching.
  • Full wraparound labels: can also work, depending on the label and container, although the tool was not specifically designed for this use. Contact us before ordering if you’re unsure.
  • Tool size: approximately L 200 × W 160 × H 70 mm.

Tested label types

The Vertical Label Helper has been used successfully with labels with a straight bottom edge, round labels and some full wraparound labels.

Results can vary with the container’s shape and the label’s size, material and flexibility. If you use an unusual label or a full wraparound design, please check with us before ordering.

Suitable for

  • Candle jars
