Wooden Wick Helper Tool – Candle Wick Placement & Centring for Jars & Tins

Centre your wooden wick accurately and make placement easier.

The Wooden Wick Helper helps position the metal wick clip and the wooden wick neatly in the centre of your jar or tin.

The holder fits your selected container, while the placement tube guides your wooden wick into position. Once the adhesive secures the metal clip to the base, remove both parts and reuse them for the next container.

Choosing your Wooden Wick Helper Setup

Simply select:

1. Your container supplier.
2. Your exact jar or tin.
3. The placement tube size for your wooden wick width.
4. The quantity required.

We’ve matched each listed container to the correct Wick Holder fit, so you only need to choose the placement tube to suit your wooden wick.

Please select the exact container from the correct supplier. Jars and tins with the same capacity can have different dimensions and may require a different fit.

Measure the actual width of your wooden wick before choosing the placement tube. The wick’s length does not determine the tube size.

• Wick Holder: choose the holder for the exact jar or tin you use.

• Placement Tube: choose the tube to match your wooden wick’s width.

All wooden wick placement tube sizes fit every holder in our Wooden Wick Helper range. You can reuse the same tube with different holders.

Both parts are needed to position your wick—neither works on its own.

Important Fit Disclaimer

Each Wick Holder is designed to fit the specific container listed in the product options.

Small dimensional differences can occur between containers of the same type, including different colour versions from the same supplier. Because of this, slight variations in fit may occasionally occur.

The holder should sit level on the container rim, and the wooden wick should slide freely through the placement tube without being forced.

Wick Holder & Placement Tube

The two parts have different jobs and must be used together.

Wick Holder

Sits on the container rim and positions the placement tube centrally above the base.

Choose the holder for your exact jar or tin. The same holder can accommodate the different wooden-wick placement tube widths available for it.

Placement Tube

Guides the wooden wick through the centre of the holder. Choose the tube according to the width of the wooden wick you are using.

Once the tube is seated in its designated slot, gently push the wooden wick down until the adhesive on the metal clip contacts the container base.

Both parts are removed after placement and can then be reused. You do not need a separate holder and tube for every candle in your batch.

How it works

1. Fit the wooden wick into its metal clip and feed the free end upwards through the placement tube.
2. Apply a wick sticker or glue dot to the underside of the metal clip and remove any backing.
3. Position the Wick Holder level on the container rim.
4. Press the placement tube down until it slides into its designated slot.
5. Gently push the wooden wick down until the adhesive contacts the container base. Hold for a few seconds, following your adhesive’s instructions.
6. Carefully lift the placement tube over the wick, then remove the holder.

Check that the metal clip is secure and the wick is upright before pouring. The holder and placement tube can then be reused to prepare another matching container.

Can’t find your container?

If your supplier or exact jar or tin is not listed, select Bespoke Fit and enter the outer top diameter of your container.

Bespoke fits are available for outer top diameters from 40–94 mm.

Glass jars and metal tins: measure straight across the outside of the top rim.

Threaded and amber apothecary jars: measure across the outside of the neck, including the thread.

What’s included

Your order will contain:

• The corresponding Wooden Wick Placement Tubes in your selected wick widths.
• Printed instruction guide.

Containers, wooden wicks, metal clips and adhesive are not included.

Good to know

• Designed for flat wooden candle wicks used with metal wick clips.
• The placement tube has a 2 mm wick slot. Check the total thickness of your wooden wick, including any booster or additional layer.
• Compatibility with every wooden-wick construction has not been confirmed. Contact us if you are unsure whether yours will fit.
• The wick must slide freely through the tube. Do not force or bend it.
• Remove both tool parts before pouring wax.

The Wick Helper is not heatproof. Keep it away from direct heat, open flames, heat guns, dishwashers, solvents, harsh chemicals and hot wax poured directly onto the tool.

If wax touches the tool, allow it to cool fully before cleaning. Wash by hand using warm soapy water and a soft cloth, then store flat in a cool, dry place.

Fine layer lines are normal on 3D-printed products. Colours may vary slightly due to lighting, screen settings and filament batches.
